Resigning because one is not a quitter

Got to give Sarah Palin credit for turning the English language upside down.  She is quitting because she isn't a quitter.  Good to know.  But reading a bit more of what she says, she is apparently quitting because she doesn't want to put Alaska through the trauma of a lame duck governor.  See, a lame duck governor is supposed to have a lot of fun going on junkets and traveling.  That wouldn't be good for Alaska.

Doesn't seem to have occurred to her to just stay in Alaska and do her job, does it?  I guess that isn't sufficient fun.
